Robbie’s first Faerie House began when she noticed how well the orchids prospered in her kitchen window. After she created and hung her first Orchid Faerie House in that window, she noticed that the orchids grew TOWARDS the little house. She read all she could about what Faeries would like, and started using all sorts of natural materials to create the houses in this book.
She photographed the houses as she created them, thinking that others would enjoy making them as much as she did … hence Making a Home for Faeries – ideas, directions and plans for adult crafters, including one project you can do with children. Her experience as an educator enabled her to write clear and thorough instructions to guide you through making your own Faerie Houses!
